A Study On The Classics Of Lisao

There are many reasons why Quyuan's Lisao becomes a classic work and is read by tens of thousands of people. It is hard to figure them out instantly. The thesis will analyze and interpret it from the perspective of ancient intellectuals'acceptation which will touch upon the internal qualities of the classics and the external elements to make Lisao as a classic work.The thesis is going to take Lisao as the research target and analyze its classics in three parts: the first part will explain my thesis interpretation's perspective, and analyze the spiritual features of ancient Chinese intellectuals. The author of this thesis contends the spirits of ancient Chinese intellectuals,"intellectuals serving for the Law and the Lord"and its outcomes such as loyalty to the Lord, enthusiasm to breeding, and elegance, human indignity's independence, and the disaster consciousness, all these attributed and influenced ancient intellectuals to understand and interpret Lisao. The second part is to observe and study the internal qualities of classics in Lisao. The ancient intellectuals advocate the classic Lisao in the terms of their own reflections in effect that loyalty to the Lord, breeding and'intellectuals unable to meet the Lord's appreciation', and literary creations. The third part is to investigate the external elements which influenced Lisao to become a classic. From the important events during Lisao's process of becoming a classic, we can find out the far-reaching external elements included the contemporary intellectual trend , the change of aesthetic psychology, the preferred fashions of the authorities, the active involvements of the crucial critics and writers.
