| The measure word is one of very important and unique parts of speech in Chinese. This article has filtered some common and easily misused noun-measure words for the object of study, according to measure words included by Modern Chinese Dictionary (the 5th edition) and carried on reclassification with common noun- measure words in the foundation of absorbing the predecessor research, which analyzed the semantic features, pragmatic function and effect of common noun-measure words and further posted the two-way choice relations between the nouns and measures.This article firstly described study fruits of each family about the noun-measure words and elaborated in brief three stages which included in the nearly 100 years'reaserch: the static classified research, the dynamic choice research, the interdisciplinary study. In the third,the fourth and fifth chapter, modern chinese noun-measure words were majorly carried on classifical research, semantic and pragmatic research and preliminarily got the following conclusions:First, the nouns with some kind of semantic features can be measured by noun-measure words with relevant semantic features and the two-way choice relations between the nouns and measures.Second, noun-measure words have strong pragmatic effect, the realization of which subjects to the pragmatic function, and has closely link with pragmatic function.The semantic feature and pragmatic function research of common noun-measure words are with a certain amount of practical significance. These studies and awareness will provide conveniention for social intercourse , language learning activities of Chinese and foreign students.Finally, common noun-measure words study was retrospected and viewed in the article which pointed out the paper research scarcity, as well as the prospect of common noun- measure words study. |
