This paper is an attempt to research subjectivity of translator from the new perspective of Theory of Adaptation raised by Jef Verschueren. Jef Verschueren holds that the use of language can be regarded as a constant selection of language in the needs of communication. Translation is a special communicative activity; translation can be regarded as a complex pragmatic process involving language, culture and various psychological factors. So a dynamic process of selection and language use is key to the translator in the whole translation process. Theory of Adaptation provides a new and comprehensive angle of cognition, social, culture for us to investigate language phenomena and practical language use.The language characteristics of variability, negotiability and adaptability enable the translator to exert more freedom under the new perspective of Theory of Adaptation. Without the active exertion of subjectivity of the translator, the adaptation is just a hypothesis. Subjectivity of translator is displayed in the communicative process between the translator, the author and the reader, etc. The translator is the key participator. The translator is an utter as well as an interpreter. Subjectivity of translator includes initiative, creativity and it is also conditioned. The study shows that all options are made by the translator and the translator's main role is fully displayed in his multi-adaptation and selections of the language, culture and psychological factors. The adaptations and selections of the language include the vocabulary, word, sentence and chapter and must be coincide with the whole communication context. This dynamic selection and adaptation between language and context proves subjectivity and creativity of the translator; the study and analysis of the two versions will contribute to a more profound understanding of the main translator. The Author agrees that the subjectivity of the translator is conditional. The translator should recognize the different context and take the language, culture social and psychological factors of the two sides of the communication and establish a dynamic context awareness to ensure smooth communication.
