Applied Strategy And Research Of Information Technology In College English Listening And Speaking Course

Social development has made new demands about teaching college English, the reform of college English curriculum focuses on students' English listening and speaking abilities, and focuses on improving the quality of General English. The information technology for teaching methods of English listening and speaking has been used widely.The use of information technology can creat environment of English language, simulate scenarios communicate in English and meet the learning needs of different students. But currently the application of information technology in teaching English listening and speaking has not been satisfactory, and the advantage of information technology can not play better in teaching. The starting points of this study are improving teaching and altering improper application of information technology situation in the past, making up for shortage of english teaching. "College English Curriculum Requirements" as the guidance of this study, frist analyses the teaching and learning process of English listening and speaking, combined with the applied environment and function of information technology in teaching, then designs four suitable teaching English listening and speaking strategies based on information technology through the process of teaching English listening and speaking,the constructivist learning theory, second language acquisition theory, teaching theory of scenarios as the guiding ideology Finally, these strategies are tryouted to verify the validity in the actual teaching. non-English major students as teaching objects, college english listening and speaking courses as an example.
