Study On Ye Family Genealogy

Genealogy is the genealogy of history which records pedigree and events of its original patriarchal clan. Genealogy, standerd history and local gazetteers of China are the three important parts support of Chinese national history. They have inherited and developed these traditional cultures of China which include many of the research material in many scientific research such as historiography, economics, demography, anthropology, genetics and so on. The genealogy also has unique function for tracing back one's ancestor, and its characteristic plays an important role in condensing and developing Chinese national culturess.This paper analyzes the Ye family mainly about its catalogue and family archives objectively and systematically in order to arouse people's interests about these kinds of historical documents and utilizes them in socialist development.This paper does these research by three aspects. First, this paper makes a study of origination and migration of Ye family, in order to know how this family has developed and changed since the ancient times. Second, this paper makes some research of the value about the Ye family archives. It's mainly about these archives's value of information, literature and education. Ye family is a literary pedigree, they have relatively complete family archives, and have a wealth on the value of information. genealogy as a literature, the value of the relevant literature, are its most important manifestation of Value; Ye genealogy have Medium a lot of ancient Chinese philosophy of education, research Ye family, the educational value of the study of ancient Chinese clans of education, civil service exam system of clans have a major impact on education value. A issue of untilizing pedigree is mentioned at as the third aspect of this paper. Since family archives is considered as one's family's internal publications, there are some unavoidable errors. We shoud study and analyze with this attitude that eliminates the false and retains the true by the time we do some reseatch of historiography and sociology with the family archives.
