The aim of this paper was to explore the traits of resilience, coping style, mental health of college students and to compare the coping style and mental health between the students with high and low resilience. In this research, we used the Chinese version of Connor and Davidson's Resilience Scale, the Multidimensional Assessment of Stressful Life Events among Adolescents, Coping Style Scale and Self-rated Health Measurement Scale to test the freshmen, sophomores and juniors in a university. Based on the results of the CD-RISC of chinese version and the Multidimensional Assessment of Stressful Life Events among Adolescents, we get the index of the resilience. The college students with high, moderate and low resilience level were put into diffirent groups and their coping style and mental health were compared. We also got the correlations among the resilience, stress, coping style score and mental health, and constructed the regression equation to the mental health. The resilience, solving problems, seeking help and self-blame were all contained in the regression equation, they can predict the mental health in certain degree. Finally, we get the following conclusions:(1)Between different gender, there were no significant difference in the resilience, stress, coping style score and mental health,.The freshmen showed significant different with the sophomores and juniors in resilience, stress, coping style score and mental health. In the positive variables such as resilience scores, seeking help scores, mental health scores, social health scores, freshmen were significantly higher than sophomores and juniors, and in the negative variables, such as escaping scores, illusion scores, freshmen were lower.(2)The students with high resilience, moderate resilience and low resilience differed remarkable in solving problems, illusion and all dimensions of the self-rated health measurement scale. People with the higher resilience index, and owned the higher solving problems scores, mental health scores, social health scores and the lower illusion scores.(3)Resilience was in significant positive correlation with positive coping styles and significant negative correlation with negative coping styles. Resilience was in significant positive correlation with mental health and social health. Resilience didn't show the significant correlation with stress.(4)Stress was in significant negative correlation with all dimensions of the Self-rated Health Measurement Scale, but it didn't show significant correlation with social health. Positive coping styles were in significant positive correlation with all dimensions of the Self-rated Health Measurement Scale, and negative coping styles were in significant negative correlation with all dimensions of the Self-rated Health Measurement Scale.(5)The resilience, solve question, seek help and self-blame enterde the regression equation of the mental health, and can predict the mental health in some degree. Coping styles played a partly intermediary role in the predicing process of resilience on Self-rated Health Measurement Scale.
