The Research Of Geshan In The Song Dynasty Period

The Song Dynasty is an important period in Chinese history.Economy, science and technology ,culture and art and so on are highly developed.Building technology is more skilled,the types of woodworking tools are significant increase,decoration category has increased significantly,the tenon joint technology with a rapid development,the exquisite workmanship has greatly increased,wood carving craft is widely used,wood decoration standard has considerable progress,and there is also have a monograph which is the most complete architectural technical monograph in China's ancient—《Ying Zao Fa Shi》,it can reflect that the art of the Song Dynasty architectural level have more great progress and improvement than the previous generation.China's traditional architecture with the main frame structure,wall is not load-bearing wall,wall,windows and doors can set freely of the building.Especially in the Song Dynasty,instead of the indoor and outside wall,Geshan widespread used to shelter against the elements and partitioned space,the building in southern song dynasty,even the four sides all use Geshan,formed the focus of the entire architectural decoration.To beginning with the evolution of Geshan in China's wooden architecture,this article systematic to collect and research about the history and existing Geshan,summarized about the types,decorative characteristics , creative ideas , allegorical significance , modeling mood and the relationship with Chinese painting,literatura and so on of Song Dynasty Geshan.In theory to research the achievement about Geshan in this period,and then to approach the artistic value and cultural symbols.This article is composed by six parts,chapter one is introduction,in this part,to introduce the research topic and significance of the topic,including concept definition,reference literature,train of thought,method and difficult points,innovation point ; Chapter two is the historical background about Song Dynasty,aspects from the politic,economic,culture,and also sum up the architectural technology in this period;Chapter three is introduction the evolution about Geshan in Chinese wood frame construction,analysis the arise and evolution about doors and windows,from drapery decoration to wood decoration,including the effect of screen and Geshan in partitioned space;Chapter four is to summarize the Geshan type from old industrial buildings,tomb,stone seal,brick pagoda,temple mural,painting and so on;Chapter five is to summarize the Geshan features,including technology ,installation , decorative themes , artistic value and cultural symbols;The last part is conclusion,try to interpretation the historical role about the Song Dynasty Geshan.
