Decorative Research And Analysis On Flower And Bird Painting In Song Dynasty Courtyard

The development of meticulous flower and bird painting has a long history and cultural roots in China.It is a unique form in Chinese painting and has significant research value in Chinese and foreign art history.It also has a fairly close connection with decorative arts.Song Dynasty was an era in which the ancient art culture gained a high degree of development,during which time the imperial-court decorative painting became the highest peak of ancient paintings.The most representative form is the imperial-court flower and bird painting,which contains traditional Chinese aesthetic ideas.The composition of the layout in meticulous flower and bird painting,the rhythm of pen and ink writing,the subtlety of color rendering,etc.are all the endeavors of filing,summarizing and consummating by the painters of the past dynasties.Since the 11 th century,the imperial-court flower and bird painting of Song Dynasty followed a different path of creation that emphasizes styling and rigorous composition,and has its unique decorative aesthetics,which is similar to landscape painting.Decoration is an artistic expression language and its purpose is to beautify.The beautification process and results embody an aesthetic expression.The decorative elements of art are usually formal elements that are decorative in non-practical art.Painting,as a branch of plastic art,also contains two aspects: “simulated” and “decorated”.This paper mainly focuses on the application of decorative language in the imperial-court flower and bird painting of Song Dynasty.This paper starts with an overview of the decorative language in painting and describes the artistic features of traditional paintings with decorative characteristics.Then it analyzes the decorative language of the imperial-court flower and bird painting of Song Dynasty in five aspects: line,composition,shape,color and form of manifestation,and sums up the performance of the application of decorative language in the images of the Southern Song Dynasty and Northern Song Dynasty,the rich and wild styles of the palace in the imperial-court flower and bird painting of Song Dynasty,and further emphasizes the use of decorative language in the drawing of the imperial-court flower and bird painting.The aim of this paper is to study the application performance of decorative language in the paintings,to enhance people's aesthetic taste and consciousness in painting,to popularize the understanding of the Chinese traditional imperial-court flower and bird painting,so as to promote the new concept and development trend of the current creation of flower and bird painting.
