The Analysis And Thinking On The Discoloration Phenomenon Of Painting

The problem of discoloration in painting is a long-term existed which could easily be overlooked. But this phenomenon has direct impact on the color of the painting indeed. On one hand, this impact has caused the change of the picture vision effect, and on the other hand, it also caused the inherent condition change of picture. Although this kind of change is latent and slow, in the historical perpetual flow, this kind of change presents inevitably by some dominant way. We can find the distinction of"ancient"and"now"from the modeling style and the color appearance when we facing the painting works from East and West ancient times, the discoloration status are often better reflect the age of a painting. Awareness of the discoloration includes two aspects: a).how to prevent the discoloration of paintings effectively; b).the aesthetic value in the effect of the discoloration and the significance for artistic creation. In order to find the method for preventing of discoloration effectively, analyses on the problem were made deeply and technically in this paper. On the basis of that, through the analyses on the aesthetic effect of discoloration to explore it's aesthetic value and the influence on painting style as well. Also, the problem between discoloration and painting restoration is discussed for the necessary concern.
