Study On Adjective In "Mu Dan Ting" And "Zi Chai Ji"

In this paper, we use statistics,classification and Comparation.etc to describe the voice forms,structure,meaning categories and grammatical function of the adjectives in "Mu Dan Ting" and "Zi Chai Ji" exhaustively.This article is divided into four parts:The preface Illustrates the reason why we do this topic and the relational research summary, moreover, we summarize the data and the method we used in this paper simply.In chapter one, we analyze the structural characteristics of the adjectives in "Mu Dan Ting" and "Zi Chai Ji". We make the structure type as the standard of quantitative analysis to the adjectives. In the two books, polysyllabic adjectives dominant in numbers. because the structure of the polysyllabic adjectives is complicated, we divide it into two categories, two-syllable adjectives and multi-syllable adjectives, to study accurately. The compound words does Advantage in the two-syllable adjectives which also include number of rhymed words and duplication phrases. In addition, there are multi-syllable adjectives which are complex on structure type in "Mu Dan Ting" and "Zi Chai Ji". We studied structural levels of the multi-syllable adjectives.In chapter two,we study on the qualitative adjectives and state adjectives in "Mu Dan Ting" and "Zi Chai Ji". We investigated the semantic category of the qualitative adjectives and state adjectives, which modified by adverbs, the syntactic ability and other characteristics. We also discussed the adjectives about color in the two books. In chapter three, we Investigates the characteristics in the voice and the structural of the adjectives of the two books through the comparison of "Mu Dan Ting" and "Zi Chai Ji". The same time, we discuss the pragmatic characteristics of the adjectives briefly.
