| This article focuses on the interpretation of the Christianity of Nietzsche's aesthetics. It consists of four parts.Feeling the mediocre of the society of the last man',that is,in Nietzsche's word,'decadence',he started his aesthetic and philosophical Meditation. Decadence is Nietzsche's diagnosis of the disease of contemporary society. The prescription he given is to resume the core spirit of ancient Greek tragedy, namely the Dionysian spirit, which in essence is canonizing the beauty of the great power of life,in other words, the will to power. Eternal Recurrence is the deepening of the will to power. It endows a unique meaning with Nietzsche's aesthetics, and it has a sort of the theological implication. Additionally, Nietzsche's praise to the spirit of'beyond the good and evil'is not only a response to the game of life from Heraclitus, but also an echo of the original Christianity. If the diagnosis of'decadence'reflected the modernity of Nietzsche's aesthetics, his in-depth study on the phenomena of'decadence'demonstrated his deep scholarship in classical philology. He pointed out that the decadence of modern society stemmed from the Christianity and ancient Greece. However, his consciousness of'decadence' seems more like an inspiration from Christian culture of'degeneration'.Besides, He criticized ancient Greece culture focusing on Socrates and so on. Nietzsche affirmed that Socrates is a monitor who guided people to decadence. In this article we infer that Nietzsche's critique on Socrates represented Jerusalem school objecting to the rationalism in Athens. After he completely analyzing the disease of modern society,Nietzsche proposed the solution of the problem. Nietzsche's prescription is to praise highly the will to power, which included Bacchanal Carnival, the aesthetic view of the world, and the spirit of tragedy. There are close relationship between the will to power and Creationism, and the affection to life and the love of God.We can see the detail in the second chapter of the article.Chapter three is going to reveal the mystery of Nietzsche's Eternal Recurrence. This unique thought created by Nietzsche strongly related to free will and redemption, thus showed more theological character. In Nietzsche's viewpoint, the beauty is neither good nor evil, it has nothing to do with ethics. The world of contradiction between good and evil is a decadent and pathological one.The idea of "beyond good and evil" comes from Heraclitus. However, the connotation of Nietzsche's idea of "beyond good and evil" seems more closely related to Christianity. These content will be elaborated in the last chapter. |
