Han Wei,as one of the important historical people in the latter period of Northern Song Dynasty, was born of Zhen Ding Han Shi family, which was one of the three famous families in Northern Song Dynasty. Han Wei experienced five dynasties of Ren Emperor, Ying Emperor, Shen Emperor, Zhe Emperor, Hui Emperor, witnessing a series of important events: Pu Wang Zhi Yi, Xi Feng Reform, Yuan You Geng Hua and Shao Shu New Policies.As a child,he was famous and during his youth,he began to have intimate relationships with Wang An-shi, Si Ma-guang, Lv Gong-zhu, so they four were called "Jia You four friends." In Han Wei's middle age, he became Song Shen-zong's assistant, who was very broad-minded and able, winning the deep trust of the emperor. During the early days of Shen Zong, he took several important posts and Shen Zong also wanted to appoint him some crucial tasks, but he persisted to show different ideas about the reform by making public opinions. In the seventh year of Xi Ning, the reform met with resistence, and Shen Zong was unsteady, during this time, Han Wei in the name of Han Lin Xue Shi hit directly towards the new reform through the opportunity of drifting the emperor's orders, which led to Wang An-shi's resignation. During the time of Yuang Feng, Shen Zong insisted on the reform and changed his opinion towards Han Wei. In the fifth year of Yuan Feng, Shen Zong seriously criticized Han Wei by saying " stubborn, not loyal to the emperor." During the year of Yuan You, the old parties took the upper hand, Han Wei was criticized of unfairly using only his relatives, and finally, he had to be resigned because of the controversy with Fan Bai-lu. During Shao Shu's reform period, Han Wei had already been in his advanced years.From Jia You to Shao Sheng period, the political combat was very tough, the imperial courts were changed frequently and Han Wei couldn't avoid some contradictions. This paper has a specific studying Han Wei, especially focusing on his growth experience and significant political events, including giving counsels to Shen Zong during the years of Jia You, ZhiPing, his attitudes towards the reform in the year of Xi Ning, Yuan Feng, making labor laws and his recall in the year of Yuan You. This paper gives the simple comments through analyzing the causes and effects of the political choices according the words and actions.
