The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a rigorous pre-university course of studies. It is designed as a comprehensive two-year curriculum for the high school students, and was recognized world wild. Currently there are 2546 universities around the world accept students attain this diploma. The curriculum of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme assessment system gained a favorable view from the educationists around the world.The Chinese Language A1, as the pre-university course has gradually formed its own completion system under more than 30 years of practice. It evaluates students effectively by integrating external and internal evaluation, along with the method of criterion reference. In the thesis, literature documents, historical analysis, case analysis were used to study the features of the objective, process, criterion, result and the management of the Chinese Language A1 assessment. In addition, to understand the impact of the evaluation of Chinese Language A1 for the students on the acquisition of knowledge in Chinese Language A1 study, their emotion and attitude as well through communication with the students.Fundamentally speaking, Chinese Language A1 is a pre-university literal course with its objective and diverse oriented assessment system. Thus, it encourages the students to be initiative in learning. In the external evaluation, open questions are mainly used, along with PTA table. The carry out of formative assessment in daily teaching greatly promote the internal assessment. Moreover, the Chinese Language A1 with its rigorous evaluation system gives full scope to the assessment management and guidance, as well as ensure the fairness of the evaluation process and accurateness of the evaluate result.The Chinese Language A1 assessment system benefits students in different ways, such as helps students to set up a clear goal; it plays an important role in building students' interests and motivation in learning; it enable students to conduct self-evaluate promptly, monitor the progress in the meantime, ultimately complete self-evaluation.Considering the situation in our country, I would like to share with you someinitial ideas as following upon on the reform of the curriculum:We need to change the conventional test oriented evaluation system.Examination should not be the teachers' weapon.Greatly encourage the way of learning in independent, collaboration, explorationTransform monotonous written assessment method to diversity evaluation system by combining formative assessment with summative assessment.Improve and perfect the evaluation system.Regarding to the existent college entrance examination system, I would also like to put forward some of my suggestions:Alter the examination determinant systemEmphasize the importance of the spoken Chinese as Chinese language is a branch of linguistics. Therefore, the Chinese oral examination should be amending to the college entrance examination.Abolish the separation of the literal arts and science. Chinese Language examination should sort into different levels.Reform form of the examination questions...
