In the United States, an increasing number of secondary schools created a Chinese as a second language courses for IB Diploma Programme(IBDP) in order to improve the international competitiveness of their students. However, when I read the literature, I found that there were few literatures about the learning Chinese as a second language on IBDP, and the research about the American middle school Chinese class that is under the guidance of the international diploma Programme was even fewer. Therefore, by introducing the International Baccalaureate Organization and the International Baccalaureate program in Chinese as a second language course, the essay will use data collection methods, questionnaire, personal interviews, classroom observation and other research methods to analyze the students of Quincy upper school. The analysis included the situation of teachers, students' learning motivation, family background, and teaching materials. It found that the 12 th graders Quincy upper school has a form of student-centered, teacher-led, leading communicative competence in Chinese teaching. At the same time, the paper also analyzes the Quincy upper school Chinese teaching is also facing the limited level of teachers, junior and senior high school Chinese class content convergence is not close, the basics of the three professors is not solid enough. I for these three deficiencies are proposed to improve the professional quality of teachers, improving teaching methods, their advantages multifaceted cooperation to seek help solutions. Finally, the paper summarizes the advantages of IB language B courses worth domestic and foreign language teachers to learn from the part. I hope it can contribute new ideas to development of Chinese teaching by analyzing Quincy upper school's teaching method.
