Research On Assessment System For Urban Cultural And Creative Industries

In 21st century, the degree of global economic integration increased continuously. Cultural and creative industries became more and more important to governments, for its high growth, high yield, and low power consumption, low pollution, which along with world's industrial structure adjustment and upgrade. Cultural and creative industries have become a hot academic topic, which accompanied with the rapid national development of cultural and creative industries.Based on the studies of a variety of cultural and creative industries theories, this paper will find the essential attribute of cultural and creative industries, and determine the connotation of this industry. Determine the extension of cultural and creative industries through the studies of industries practices of other countries. Based both of above studies, determine the cultural and creative industries.Cultural and creative industries developed rapidly, which made it is necessary to assess the situation of the industries. Based on the assessed results, which provide informations of current situationes, superiority and deficiency, government can make the appropriate adjustments.Current reseach of assessment system for urban culture and creative industries is not deep enough, and the existing systems have poor fitness which can not meet the needs of assessment. This paper will propose a new assessment system for urban cultural and creative industries, which is combined with the characteristics of creative industries and the industry practices, and refered to existing assessment methods and assessment system. Finally assess the cultural and creative industries of Tai'an City by the new system, and present recommendations for improvement according to assessment results.
