"guangyun", also called " Song Dynasty Edition guangyun", is the reprentative of ancient Chinese phonology, which can help examine pronunciations and tell the differences among tunes. It has been welcomed and thought highly since it is first published, and the important foundation of ancient Chinese phonology in the large and medium-sized dictionaries.In "guangyun", one character has a few sounds, so it comes the phenomenon of homographs. One word has different usages in different situations but has links. According to statistics, there are 3,747 homographs, nearly one fifth of the total 26,194 words, which makes it a big importance.The thesis is on the basis of the achievement of "guangyun", emphasize to sort the categories, and study its value, and research the effects on the modern Chinese to provide some vivid and useful theories references to for the following researchers.There are five chapters of the whole article.The 1st Chapter:Preface. The motivation of the topic, the grief situation of homog raphs, the meaning of the research, the choice and processing of materials.The 2nd Chapter:The combing of homographs from even tone, rising tone, fallin g-rising tone, falling tone,untone, the five tones of characters.The 3rd Chpater:the seven Categories.The 4th Chapter:The analyses from the negative and positives aspectsThe 5th Chapter:The future development of the homographs.
