Experimental Research On The Relation Between Interpersonal Relationship And Implicit Aggression Among College Students

It is showed that the researches on implicit aggression are about the influence of family and media, but seldom on that of interpersonal relationship. Nevertheless, those researches on interpersonal relationship are scarcely related to its external factors, not the internal mental ones such as personalities. Furthermore, it is said that interpersonal relationship can take anxiety or safety to people and the formation and development of personality are influenced by interpersonal relationship according to personality theory of psychoanalysis, but only the questionnaires are used in the most researches on interpersonal relationship in social psychology and some other fields. In this research, interpersonal relationship was used as the independent variable of experiments in exploratory finding the relation between implicit aggression and it.Firstly, we use the questionnaire developed by ourselves to divide college students into groups according to interpersonal intimacy as interpersonal relationship. And then we use IAT to explore both the existence of implicit aggression and the relation between interpersonal relationship and implicit aggression by using different experimental materials. Finally, we use Aggression Questionnaire (AQ) to explore the relation between interpersonal relationship and explicit aggression and also to confirm the relationship between the implicit and explicit aggression.The researches are divided into five studies, that is, one preparing experiment, three experiments and one questionnaire investigation. Combining with all five research results, we have known as follows:(1) There is the implicit aggression on the word materials in college students of different interpersonal relationship;(2) There is no difference between interpersonal relationship and implicit aggression on material parameters in college students;(3) There is some difference between interpersonal relationship and implicit aggression on material types in college students;(4) There is no significant correlation between implicit and explicit aggression in college students of different interpersonal relationship;(5) There is no significant correlation between interpersonal relationship and explicit aggression.
