Aggression and aggressive behavior have been long hot topics in psychology, and they have been theoretically discussed and experimentally studied by psychologists with different viewpoints from Fraud's psychoanalysis to recent cognitive psychology. In recent years implicit association has become a new hot perspective to study aggression. Implicit Association Test (IAT) is a new measuring tool based on response time paradigm. After it was proposed, it received extensive attention for its excellent performance. Therefore the application of this Test to the study of aggression is of great significance to the exploration of new research methods for aggression.Rorschach test can measure intrinsic aggressive impulses of individuals by avoiding various defense reactions. As early as in 1940s, it had been used abroad to measure aggressions. Following that, Holt, Exner, Gacono and Meloy proposed in succession some Rorschach aggression variables, among which AgC and Ag are so far the best variables for prediction. This paper is a further verification of validity of Rorschach aggression variables by means of IAT. In this research two IATs with words and pictures are made and IAT effect is used to stand for the intensity of implicit aggression preference, which is then correlated with the scores of Rorschach aggression variables. The experiment shows that the result of IAT has a noticeably positive correlation with AgC but a negative correlation with Ag, which has verified to a certain degree the validity of Rorschach aggression variables.
