Exploration Of Resources Of Ecological Aesthetics In Taoism

Large amount of consumption to natural resources by humanity led to its exhausted; the number of population increased rapidly and approaching the maximum capacity of the earth; emission of numerous industrial waste and living waste exceeded self-purification ability of nature and damaged ecological balance; human race also severely destroyed habitats of living creatures, which led to the speed and species of life extinction exceeded foretime. Accompany with ecological crisis, spiritual crisis of humanity emerged. The tremendous achievement of material civilization since Industrial Revolution advanced conquest and claim to nature. Constantly victory of humanity encouraged arrogant and conceit attitude to nature. Popular of anthropocentrism, utilitarianism orientation to nature, the separate of human beings' sensibility and rationality, unilateral development of humanity, the lost spiritual home had gone faraway……The above mentioned all warning human race seriously.As a matter of fact, crises of natural area always from humanity. Ecological crisis becoming more and more serious in our time originate from dualism and values of instrumental rationality derived from it. The rapid development of modern technological rationality depends on dualistic way of thinking. This mode of thinking makes the relationship between humanity and nature no longer symbiotic and friendly, but opposite and alienate, service and be serviced, conquer and be conquered. At the same time, technological rationality also alienated the simple and innocent people. Therefore they became a tool for pursuing their own desires, they pursuit small profits at the expense of the destruction of nature. Consequently, if we want to alleviate and remove all kinds of crises human being faces, achieve harmonious relationship between human race and nature and the balance of spiritual ecology, we can not follow the prevailing way of thinking of technological rationality, we also can not simply rely on progress of technological to solve ecological problems. Only should we change our way of thinking and values thoroughly to resolve the difficulties is the law once and for all. Simply relying on technical progress of governance can only be a temporary solution. In this issue, Taoism has provided a new way of thinking and values. This paper argues that the major achievement of Chinese Aesthetics emerged in the new century—Ecological Aesthetics should draw the relevant results of Taoist thought for application to solve human and ecological problems.Traditional culture of Chinese, especially Taoism is rich in ecological wisdom. We should excavate the content of it to improve contemporary Ecological Aesthetics. Taoism contains many important ecological values such as all homologous, all things and human race on an equal basis, conform to nature. These of great significance for reconstruct the harmonious relationship between humanity and nature, to eliminate conquest of nature and the opposing ideas, to restore balance of the spiritual world. Tao as the highest noumenon and ultimate existence in Taoism, ecological wisdom inherent in it can be the philosophical foundation and Spiritual foundation for theoretical framework and practice exploration of Ecological Aesthetics.
