Another Reality

Last year I went to Europe to study as a communicating student,and I saw a lot of sculptures during middle ages ,most of which are figurative but not realistical entirely,they transmit irresistible powerful religious spirit through exaggerated and metamorphic artistic method.This article researches and analyses unique expressional strength of middle ages sculpures by pictures and written materials, directly perceived experience as a practical person,depending on sculpture conceptions after 20th centuty,comparing middle ages sculpures with them of Old Greece and Renaissance in the aspects of molding language and expressional method.I use contrastive means to research characteristics of some middle ages sculptures,interpreting the expressional strength and the form language characteristics of this period sculptures through the aspects such as shape models, expressional method, clothes and ornaments handles, colour wield and so on.At last conclude :it is significant elements to employ proper form language for heighening the expressional strength of art works.
