Lou Ye's Exploration On Narrative Art Of Films

Born in the early nineties of last century, sixth-generation directors of the Chinese film achieved great success and also improved relations with the market. Lou Ye made "Purple Butterfly" a space for the innocent young people who got involved in war to moan freely. Lou Ye changed the stability arrangements and used the occasional factors as clues. Although Lou Ye's film had got out of the previous phase, but the narrative fragments were still a larger obstacle for the audiences to understand.The third stage: using "polyphony space" to copy the vitality of life. Lou Ye saw the film-making as sowing, nurture and harvest processes. Although the previous film can be already seen characteristics of polyphony obviously, "Summer Palace" was a real start which creates a polyphonic space. Polyphony space and hybrid space are similar but still have a few differences.Although Lou Ye still can not hold the balance between the creative exploration and the market, but he is no longer limited by the box office and the system locks. The non-stop exploration offers Lou Ye an unusual way to make films. The unusual way which can not be copied let Chinese domestic film be hopeful, so Lou Ye's films are rare.
