The Relationship Between Time Management Disposition And Self-concept Of College Students In Changchun

The initial idea of this article is coming from the example of a student of high self-concept who has inefficient time management. Does the time management and self-concept have correlation in college students? If the correlation is exist,how do they affect each other? I reviewed the literature at home and abroad with this question and the results showed that Chinese scholars consider Time Management Disposition to be a kind of personality characteristic. Previous studies have shown that self-concept and Time Management Disposition has significant correlation, but the researches on the only two concepts are seldom. I deicide to choice the project and study the correlation between them intensively.The whole project is broadly divided into two main parts: The first part is the introduction and theoretical review. In this part, I statement the development of Time management and Time Management Disposition,and propose theoretical hypothesis about Time Management Disposition. In another part of theoretical review, the discussing main focus on Theoretical Models of Self– Concept and its developing. Besides the discussed of the two concepts, I also summarized the previous studies about Management Disposition and self-concept. At the end of this part, I proposed the hypothesize, then the second part began. At this part, the most important job is to do the questionnaires and analyze the results of the questionnaire. I choice three colleges in Changchun randomly and do the questionnaires immediately. The study chooses 331 students as samples in Changchun .The results indicated that:(1) The level of Time Management Disposition is above average. The female student's scores were significant higher than male students'. The arts student's scores were significant higher than science students'. The students who come from city scores were significant higher than country students'. Students who come from different grade has the significant difference.(2) The level of self-concept is above average. The female student's self-concept scores were significant higher than male students self-concept. The arts student's self-concept scores were significant higher than science students'. The grades and students from different place was not significant difference in self-concept scores.(3) We found out that there was significant positive correlation between Management Disposition and self-concept. Through regression analysis , the results showed that three dimensions of Time Management Disposition were predictors of self-concept. And the time efficacy is the best predictive value to estimate the score of self-concept.At last of the paper, the author summarized the innovation of the research and the shortage of the research.Innovation of the research: first of all, the researches on the only two concepts are seldom in China. Then, the group of sample is new, and the results of the research can provide data to support to research in the future. The shortage of the research: Questionnaires were sent to Library and study room, so sampling bias is inevitable. Another problem of the research is that the questionnaires. The number of questionnaire's topics is improper , some of the subjects are out of patience and give it up.
