Semantic And Restrictive Factor Research Of Interjective "哦"

This article discusses the Semantic and Restrictive factor of the interjection"哦"in modern Chinese, and tries to make further research on"哦"by the comparative method.Based on the theoretical study of the predecessors, this article follows the theory and principles of the semantic grammar. The research methods we use to analyze the interjection"哦"here include:quantitative analysis of the language materials; questionnaire survey; praat analysis; sound recording and analyzing and so on.Firstly, using the method of social linguistics and experimental phonetics, the article summarizes the system of the intonation and semantic relation of"哦",and makes distinction between"哦1"and"哦2",which can be subdivided into two variants respectively.Secondly, the article researches the position and meaning of''哦"in discourse structures based on the restrictive relation of the position and meaning of"哦"The article divides the semantic homogeneity and the semantic neterogeny; discusses the semantic relations of"哦"and the context; points out that"哦"can only appear before new information in a clause; inspects the usage of'"哦"as syntactic components, and question the view of "applied flexibly".Thirdly, the article researches the restrictive relation of linguistic environment and meaning about"哦"；divides"哦"into four semantic levels according to the feedback significance in communication, then into self-directional and non-self-directional according to the emotion significance.Finally, the article makes a semantic comparison between"哦"and other similar interjections, and goes further in the semantic study of'哦".
