N, V Preposition Framework For Inspection,

Proposed in recent years,"Prepositional Frame"is a concept which is used a lot in real life. However, the studies on it are rather insufficient, in particular the studies on the prepositional frame"在N的V下".This paper studies the prepositional frame"在N的V下". Firstly, we analyze the structural features and the syntactic distribution of the structure. Secondly, we compare the structure"N的V"which is in the prepositional frame"在N的V下"between the one that is not in the prepositional frame to find the characteristics of"N的V", including the semantic relation between N and V, the syntactic and semantic characteristics of V. After that, the semantic features and relations between this prepositional frame"在N的V下"and its main clause are also the major focus in this paper. In addition, we compare the"在N的V下"sentences with"被"sentences and bi-constituent sentences. Their basic semantic features are similar while the ways of expressing them are rather different. We make these comparisons for the purpose of finding more unique semantic features of"在N的 V下"sentences. At last, this paper studies the formation time of this prepositional frame and the internal and external causes of its formation.
