Wang Zao, who had played an active part between the Northern Song Dynasty and the Southern Song Dynasty, was an artist in four-six prose, and stood out as the best song words writer among the south-transit government officials. Moreover, he was well known for his poetry and many of his poems that had been handed down till now. "Huang Ting jian had predominance in the poetic circle in the late of North Song Dynasty and the early of South Song Dynasty. Besides Su Shi's son Su Guo, just a sprinkling of poets, like Sun Di and Ye Mengde, did not dance to the tune of Jiangxi Poets but had a preference for Sushi, Wang Zao is the best one among them", Qian Zhongshu remarked. The commentary of Mr. Qian is of much value. But it did not indicate that the poetic writing of Wang Zao has never been influenced by Jiangxi Poetry. Dialectically looking that, the poetic style of Wang Zao had a developing process, for he first imitated Jiangxi Poetry and then favored the poetic style of Su Shi. His consider revising in flesh languages not only shows saying goodbye to the style of poem in Jiangxi, but also beyond it. Besides, it leads to the spirited language style of Nandu poem.This thesis intends to have an overall and in-depth study on Wang Zao's poetry, and explore his poetic style, poetic category, poetic spirit, poetic art and the poetics origin, and then gain an reflection of development of Ci-circle between-the Northern Song Dynasty and the Southern Song Dynasty, as well as the characteristic of south-transit Ci-circle.
