A Research On Language Styles Of Dong Xi's Fictions

Dongxi, an outstanding young writer in the contemporary Chinese literary world, has created a lot of excellent fictions during more than twenty years. This thesis will take the language of Dongxi's fictions as the research object and try to explore the language styles of his fictions from the perspective of linguistics. In this thesis, all the analysis and researches are conducted in the context of linguistics with the methods of generalization, analysis and description etc., which are commonly used in linguistics.In this thesis, the language styles of Dongxi's fictions are characterized as:humor, perceptible, luxuriant and plentiful, etc. The whole text can be divided into seven parts, i.e. seven chapters. The first chapter simply analyses the study of language styles and the research profile of Dongxi's fictions, and introduces the research thread of the whole thesis. Chapter 2 to 4 is the main body of the thesis, mainly analyzing and describing respectively the language styles of Dongxi's fictions:humor, perceptible, luxuriant and plentiful through using words, sentences, figures of speech and other linguistic means. Chapter 5 is a brief analysis on the causes of Dongxi's language style. Chapter 6 presents some expectations and advices in view of some problems existed in the language of Dongxi's fictions. The last part, chapter 7 is the conclusion, the summary of the entire study.In a whole, this thesis is an attempt to analyze and study the language styles of Dongxi's fictions from a linguistic view, in hopes of promoting the study on writers' individual language styles, and to some extent to enrich the theories of language stylistics, and also can play a supporting role for literature research.
