Along with the growing economics, Chinese films have made significant development and the film industry has shown a sustained and rapid growth. The market mechanism has taken a basic role in the allocation of resources. Film management has changed from business-led to industry-led. Government has applied regulations, policies, and economic means to implement macro-control. Film business entities are shifting from single ownership to the mixed ownership structure. Film profit model does not simply rely on the box office, but on the diversity marketing. Film technology is shifting form the simulation transition to digital technology. But "moving troops and horses, forage ahead", in film industry, the most current issues are the fund shortage and lacking of regulations in investment and financing.The thesis focuses on the analysis of the financing and investment of Chinese film industry in 21st century, from where to find out the causes and the problems in the current market environments, the government's scale of management, industry standards and the trend of development. The study will also explore the interaction between the capital and the film industry, and emphasize the improvement of the film industry system.
