Under the influence of the globalization, the world pay more and more attention to Chinese in recent years. Taking advantage of the influence of the international Chinese fever, China has gradually increased the intensity of international promotion of Chinese. Oppositely,Chinese is in an embarrassing position in the motherland.Now our people's level of Chinese is falling day by day,the students'level make it even more worrisome. Crisis of mother language is an indisputable fact, which has become a hot social issue.Under the impact of crisis of mother language, Chinese's attention on Chinese Subject continues to drop. As a basic humanities curriculum of the higher education, College Chinese have to take the important mission to improve students Chinese language skills and level. Since the curriculum has been resumed in the late 1970s, College Chinese has developed for thirty years. During the time, Ministry of Education and many universities have pay more attention to the curriculum gradually, so the teaching work of College Chinese obtained a certain achievement. In spite of a series of reforms have been carried out, at present College Chinese is still in a marginalized position. Now the curriculum is facing a raft of predicament as follows:the position is ambiguous, a wide range of the teaching material, the teaching methods lack of innovation. To further deepen the reform is in favor of full playing to the educational function of College Chinese.Aiming at the characteristic and the existing problems of College Chinese, the paper firstly treat the crisis of mother language, learn foreign experiences of mother language education, and specify the nature and objectives of the curriculum, then stand out the important position. According to the statistical result of the data provided by the questionnaire, stimulate the motivation among students, and develop the students' subjectivity, the paper will try to combine a variety of modern teaching method, then give some reference suggestions for further development of College Chinese.
