Naikan is a therapy which letting one constantly reflect on their own within the concept of "I received, I paid, The troubles I caught to others". It was generated and developed in oriental culture and researched in the whole world now. There are many researches about psychosomatic disorder but rarely about normal people. Moreover,most are quantitative researches,rarely are qualitative researches. This thesis attempts to study the Naikan experience of college students in qualitative view,which not only enriches the research of Naikan ,also provides ideas for school counseling, mental health education and thanksgiving education.The thesis composed of six Parts.The first part introduces the theories and study progress of Naikan, and forward the question.The second part introduces the reason why the qualitative research was selected and the research design of the whole study. The third part shows the analysis of data and the situation of Naikan experience.The fourth part discusses of the results.The fifth part reflect with the whole study and proposed the merit and limitations.The sixth part gives the recommendations accord the results.In this study,14 college students attended in School Naikan,and then provide their diaries and the interviews for analysis.Analyzing the collecting materials through grouded theory and coding by QSR Nvivo7.0 anylysis software.The thesis arrives at following conclusion:1.The experiments of Naikan are staged with different expression in diiffent time.2. The thesis anylysis the cognitive,emotion and behavior of the 14 students.3."Holding to the concept of the ego"is always experienced in the early stage.4. Experience with the concept of being affected,being given and sense of joint with the sense of subjective well-being and healthy guilt in the middle stage. 5.Tolerance and positive awareness, generate gratitude, cherish feelings, and intention to hold compensation, pro-social behavior and self-examination behavior were exits in the last stage. 6.The experiences of Naikan lead to a new model of cognitive,emotion and behavior .And the emotion experience is a important factor. On the foundation of material anylysis, this thesis constructed the experience model of different stage,and the dynamic model.This study provides the theoretical framework in understanding and studies for Naikan experience,and the inspiration and advice for school counseling, thanksgiving education and further research of School Naikan.
