As a new burgeoning academic study, translation studies have occupied its tiny space ever since the latest thirty and forty years. However, it has hit the headline for its rapid development. In the course of its development, it has been under the influence of deconstruction theory as well as postcolonialism. Feminism translation studies, as it were, can be regarded as one part of poststructuralism. Being set in this background, feminism translation study unavoidably bears the characteristics of the latter:rebellious, subversive and dispelling.
