A Report On The Translation Of Translation And Gender-Translation In The 'Era Of Feminism' (Chapter Four And Seven)

This thesis is a translation report of the translation of Translation and Gender--Translation in the ‘Era of Feminism'(chapter four and seven)with the guide of Snell-Hornby's integrated approach.The book was written by the representative figure of feminism translation Luise von Flotow,which is an academic book that published in 2004.The book is a recommendation of the supervisor and the project was assigned to a group of three students to complete.The source text of this translation project quoted a great number of English poetry and novels that were translated from other languages,and content of translation criticism,historiography of female translation and translation of religious text.There are various text types in the source text which indicate the complexity of the translation process.Therefore,the translator chose Snell-Hornby's integrated approach as the theoretical guide of this project,using a macro to micro way to analysis and manage the text.During the translation process,the translator adopted several different translation methods like division,addition and conversion based on the cultural and environmental context.
