Wang Ji is one of the important writers of scholar group of Jin Dynasty. Wang's poetries represent an ordinary scholar's frustrations in his official career and complexities in his emotion world. In this works, the poet expresses sigh of the political frustrations, time lapse, nature aesthetic feelings, and human true feelings. Besides that, he describes the flourishing age-DaDing and MingChang. Reflecting the society and life of Jin Dynasty, all these themes display certain breath and depth, which makes later readers espy writers'living state, grasp the scholars' status and fate in the "soldiers rule" political background. In art, various styles of desolation, bold and generous heroic, freshness and nature show the general tendency of poetry creation in Jin. The narrative prose is the main body of Wang's prose, which mainly focuses on conveying the idea, and is plain and simple. The narration is arranged clearly, the wording is concise and fluent, and writing style is euphemistic, as a result, his prose is considered as a school in Jin literary circle. The theme of his ci is various, includes the lucid and exceeding love ci, depressed and hopeless service ci, declining years' congratulation ci as well as free and mild leisure ci, all of which represent the characters of ci creation in middle Jin. The style is firm and flexible, mild and euphemistic, broad-minded, heroic and sturdy, and is an important represent of ci style in Jin.This paper argues the causes of Wang's literary achievements conclude a fusion of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, the collision and combination of minority and Han culture, the function of special political situation, and the edification of Tang and Song literature tradition. All the factors form Wang's literature creation character.
