Usage of interrogative pronouns are not only in doubt. there are very flexible usage of non-questions of interrogative pronouns , especially "shenme".The grammatical form, semantic structure, and pragmatic functions of "shenme" used as non-interrogatively are complicated areas. This article from the perspective of teaching chinese as a second language to explore the non- questions usage of "shenme".Firstly ,this paper introduces the fundamentals study of the non- questions usage of "shenme".Based on the previous classification of the non- questions usage of "shenme",we defined the meaning and usage of semantic functions of "shenme"; Secondly ,we analyze the difficulty level and teaching sort of the non- questions usage of "shenme" by English contrast ;Thirdly, describe three aspects of teaching chinese as a second language of the non- questions usage of "shenme" from the teaching materials, teachers, and teaching strategies and finally reach a conclusion.This paper concludes: The non-questions usage of "shenme" from the semantic point of view can be divided into negative usage, artitrary idication usage,uncertion usage,illustrative usage euphemism usage and independent usage of the 6 categories. To the second language learners, the difficulty level of the 6 categories is different.Negative usage andeuphemism usage are more difficult, illustrative usage and independent usage are relatively simple. In foreign language teaching, textbook authors and the organizers of the classroom pay no attention to The non-questions usage of "shenme".In the typical teaching Chinese as a second language textbooks, artitrary idication usage and uncertion usage are restricted .The other usage are little in the textbooks.It does not meet the conditions of natural spoken language. We should teach Chinese concerning to the characteristics of the non-questions usage of "shenme".
