The detachable word is a special linguistic phenomenon in modern Chinese, which isdifficult for students who learn Chinese as a foreign language to acquire. Meanwhile, it is quite adifficult part in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. As we taking The Graded ChineseSyllables, Characters and Words for the Application of Teaching Chinese to the Speakers ofOther Languages (called “Grade” for short) as our reference standard, we choose the detachablewords of primary degree in the grades to be the object of study. Through our researching on thecombined form and separate form of detachable words separately, we could probably define thecharacters of the detachable words, and the common separate forms as well. Based on thisresearch, we could analyze how does every detachable word of primary degree separated. Withthe help of quantity analysis, it is easy for us to conclude the error rate of every detachable word.We use the error rate to make sure which part is difficult for students who learn Chinese as aforeign language and how hard is it. At mean time, both the combined forms and separate formsof detachable words of primary degree are going to be graded separately according to their errorrate. It is believed that the graded combined forms and separate forms will become the referencefor teaching Chinese as a foreign language. This article is divided into five parts.Part One Introduction. This part is going to introduce the content, the researching methodsand the theoretical evidence of this article. It will also introduce the corpus systems that are usedin this article. Meanwhile, it will summarize the current research on the detachable words.Part Two Confirmation and Analysis of Detachable Words in Primary Degree. Based on theGraded, we could make sure that there are73detachable words in primary degree. We take thesedetachable words as our object of study. Firstly, we analyze their characters and how will theybeen separate. Then, with the help of CCL, we have done lots of research on these words andhave found the separate forms of them. And then, we classified these separate forms and finallyget14common forms. At last, we research on each detachable word’s separate forms as well.Part Three Research on the Acquisition of the Detachable Words in Primary Degree andTheir Grade of Difficulty. It is believed that we could conclude the error rate of both thecombined forms and the separated forms through analyze the acquisition of combined forms andseparated forms separately. Taking these two kinds of error rates as the reference, we try toclassify the detachable words into grades, as well as their separated forms.Part Four Teaching Strategies and Advices. We believe that during our teaching process, it isimportant to pay attention to the detachable words in primary degree, including the teachingorders. The learning process of student is also very important. It is advised that we should teach the detachable words one by one and combine them with other grammatical points. We shouldalso focus on the errors of students and the interference of their mother languages.Part Five Epilogue. The research will be summarized roundly.
