Along with our country moving towards public society gradually, consumerism increasingly turns into the central ideology, popular culture and consuming culture began to occupy the commanding heights of the culture, and are expected to be the main social cultural paradigm. In this social context, recreation culture became the essential personalized consumption patterns in daily life, and conscious cultural interest. With the gradual improvement in public life, and the relative spacious in political environment, recreation culture is growing to be tidal current, whether the traditional media such as film and television, or the emerging Internet media, recreation holds a pivotal position, and becomes a favorable tool which brings about the economic interests. Not only that, in the economy, sports, news and academic fields, etc, which were far away from amusement once, recreation culture owns the same absolute influence. Besides the grand social, economic and cultural background, the speedy and widespread recreation rise is determined by the advanced visual and auditory technology, rapid development of the cultural industry and the globalization of postmodernism. Currently, the recreation culture in our country displays diversified value, recreation is closely connected to TV, it emerges audio and visual aesthetic appearance, emotional appeal, the industrial development pattern and aiming"consumption idol", etc, which make up the cultural characteristics of the recreation. Recreation culture is a positive force in China's economic society and public daily life, for the macroscopic aspect, it is favorable to the construction of harmonious society, and the soaring development of market economy; for the microcosmic aspect, recreation culture is favorable to the balance of people's body and mind, emotional release and personality development. But at the same time, there are many sides which need recreation culture improve, for instance, the media indulge in the pleasant sensation, the merchants indulge in the economic interests, the mass indulge in the perceptual appeals, recreation culture sinks into"non-politicization"paradigm crisis, and as a result of chasing economic interests, recreation culture neglects social welfare. Face the unsatisfactory aspects of recreation culture, the author suggests we should center on the producer of recreation culture- the mass media, and appeal making normative efforts in morality and responsibility, to repair the defect during the process of recreation culture development in our county.
