Bath culture is an important component of traditional cultures, and it varies from country to country and from region to region. Chinese has a long history of bath culture; the bath culture in Russian is unique, though with a short history. Comparative research on the bath culture of the two countries will benefit the communication and development of their culture and strengthen the friendship between people in the two countries.Starting with unscrambling of the bath culture, the theses first explain the definition of the bath, and then have a discussion on the close relationship between bath-culture and the human lives. Bath culture penetrates various parts of lives: from religion to arts, from health care to entertainment. We cannot study the bath-culture of the two countries, without studying history of its bath-culture. The paper makes a comparison of the distinctive feature of their respective way of bathing, bath Accessories, and bath custom, in addition to an analysis of the effect of geographical environment and national psychology on bath cultureThe conclusion is that the bath cultures of the two countries are different, but bath has become a way of recreation and health care, which is identical to both countries. With the development of bath culture and the improvement of living standard, people have increasingly been aware of the function of bath culture. They have found out more and more functions such as recreation, beauty and health care from the activity of bath, and more and more people seek after pleasant ambience and Helpful, warm, patient and considerate services. The three new trend of the bath consumption——enjoyment, health care and communication is guiding the bath service industry towards the direction of healthy, fashionable, recreational and 'people-centered' development. In the meantime, there are still some problems which could not be neglected: at present, for most of common people, especially for those in rural area, hot water bathing is still out of reach for them, the standard of bathing for common people in our country need to be improved.
