Study On The Vicissitudes Of The Henan’s Folk Recreation During The Republic Of China

The social recreation of Republic of China Henan is the emphasis of this thesis. Underground of thesocial vicissitudes of Henan during Republic of China, the author researches folk recreation of this period,then analysis the vicissitudes of folk and the causes. At the same time, the author strives to reveal thechanges reflected the cultural spirit. In order to reflect the influence of the folk recreation changes to socialvicissitudes of the specifically e history period, thereby profoundly understands the laws of social evolutionin Henan during the Republic of China.This article is separated into six parts.Part one is the preface, which just introduces the meaning of author’s choosing the title and previousresearch achievement, author’s new ideas as well.The first chapter: Explaining the meaning of social recreation and briefly analysis the social functionof the recreation.The second chapter: Mainly reviews the traditional Henan’s folk recreation which is including twokinds: One is proper including drama, acrobatics, dance, sports etc. The other is not proper, primaryincluding gambling and prostitution. Moreover, briefly comment the arises causation, the social influenceand the trait of the Henan’s traditional recreation.The third chapter: Mainly reviews the vicissitudes of the Henan’s folk recreation during the Republicof China. In the proper recreation, the author mainly expatiates on the vicissitudes of the proper recreation,such as drama, acrobatism, dance, sports etc, and points out the new recreations that appeared during theperiod. Thereby briefly reviews the changes of gambling and prostitution. Then, the author comments onbriefly from the following parts, the traditional recreation still occupied a major position in public life; new forms of recreation flourished, and gradually the played an important role in the entertainment life; Anexcellent conglomeration of culture of the East and the West, without abandoning traditional; Thecharacters of folk entertainment in Henan during the Republic of China.Henan’s folk recreation the focus of the part is that the author explores some new mode of Hunan’ssocial recreation in Late Qing dynasty. They mainly include: Dance, Drama, Athlete, Variety show, Gameand ill proper recreation. Moreover, the author tries to analyze Hunan’s recreation from1911to1927.There are also three aspects which are the important status of tradition social recreation, rapidlydevelopment of the recreation appearing in Late Qing dynasty and arising some new modes of recreationwhich have important effectiveness after building the Republic of China.The fourth part: Explaining the cause of vicissitudes of folk recreation during the Republic of China inHenan and the changes reflected the culture spirit. The factors, such as economic factors, the influence ofWestern culture, the impact of political forces, the impact of transport development etc, which brought thevicissitudes of folk recreation.
