| Objective:The main aim of this study was to explore the relationships of Time Management Disposition, Subjective Well-being, Psychological Stress and Mental Health, in which whether Subjective Well-being worked as an intermediary variable in the relationship between Time Management Disposition and Mental Health, as well as Whether Time Management Disposition worked as an intermediary variable in the relationship between Psychological Stress and Mental Health. Methods:The set of assessment scales included Psychological Stress Scale and the Mental Health Inventory in Psychological Evaluation System established by the Ministry of Education, Time Management Disposition Scale established by Huang Xiting, Overall Well-being Scale developed by the National Statistics Center, USA, amended by Duan Jianhua.300 universities students, the average age of 20.16+1.26, completed all assessment scales at one time. Then the relationship of Time Management Disposition, Subjective Well-being, Psychological Stress and Mental Health were discussed by Pearson correlation and stepwise regression. Finally, the relational models of Time Management Disposition, Subjective Well-being, Psychological Stress and Mental Health were explored by Structural Equation Models (SEM).Results:(1) Pearson correlation analysis:Time Management Disposition, and Subjective Well-being were significantly correlated with Mental Health negatively, (r=-.391 P<0.01; r=-.528, P<0.01), Psychological Stress were positively correlated with Mental Health, (r=. 379, P<0.01), that is to say the higher level of psychological stress was, the higher score of Mental Health got, while students' mental health was lower. Subjective Well-being were correlated with Time Management Disposition positively, (r=.316, P<0.01). Psychological Stress were negatively correlated with Time Management Disposition, (r=-.265, P <0.01). Subjective well-being were negatively correlated with Psychological Stress, (r=-.384, P<0.01). (2) Regression analysis showed that:Subjective Well-being, Time Management Disposition and Psychological Stress have accessed to the stepwise regression equation of Mental Health. Regression coefficients were -0.393,-0.223 and 0.169, coefficient of determination was 0.358; Time Management Disposition has accessed to the stepwise regression equation of Subjective Well-being, with regression coefficient of 0.316, and the coefficient of determination was 0.100; Psychological Stress has accessed to the stepwise regression equation of Time Management Disposition. Regression coefficient was-0.265, and the coefficient of determination was 0.07. (3) The construction of structural equation modeling (SEM):the direct effects of Subjective Well-being, Time Management Disposition and Psychological Stress on Mental Health were -0.40,-0.23 and 0.17. The indirect effects of Time Management Disposition and Psychological Stress on Mental Health were -0.127 and 0.094, and the coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.33. Time Management Disposition's effect on Subjective Well-being was 0.32, and the coefficient of determination (R) was 0.10. Psychological Stress'effect on Time Management Disposition was -0.27, and the coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.07. During the fitting indexes of the path model, CMIN/DF was 1.721, and TLI, IFI, NFI and CFI were 0.92,0.91,0.92 and 0.90, RMSEA 0.04. These indexes meet the conditions for optimal model fitting index well. The relational path model of Psychological Stress, Time Management Disposition, Subjective Well-being and Mental Health was good. Conclusion:All of Subjective Well-being, Time Management Disposition, and Psychological Stress were closely related with Mental Health, that is, the stronger Subjective Well-being and the higher level of Time Management Disposition were, the higher level of Mental Health would be. While the higher level of Psychological Stress would more likely lead to psychological damage. Subjective Well-being worked as an intermediary variable in the relationship between Time Management Disposition and Mental Health, as well as Time Management Disposition worked as an intermediary variable in the relationship between Psychological Stress and Mental Health. |
