Humor Mechanisms Of Wanrong Jokes

Wanrong jokes is a special form of the national art which features as "zeng". It appraises life with humorous language and makes people instructed in laughter. Jokes are an important part of humor; humor of jokes is the lifeline of joke texts; and the humor of Wanrong jokes cannot live without its special logical mechanisms.The present research focuses on the humor mechanisms of Wanrong jokes and takes Wanrong joke texts as data. It tries to use the GTVH (General Theory of Verbal Humor) theory to study what triggers Wanrong jokes to be humorous.The most prominent feature of Wanrong jokes is "zeng" which is shown by using a variety of logical mechanisms skillfully to form script opposition; thus to trigger humor.Studies on Wanrong jokes from other perspectives enrich the achievements of Wanrong joke researches; and serve as good supplements of the interpretation of Wanrong jokes and the teaching and practising of Wanrong jokes.
