Deliberation On Yu Dan's Comprehension Of The Analects

The Analects is one of the most important classics in Chinese traditional culture. As a quotation of the sage, it has a position which can not be replaced to influence the Chinese people's behavior,thoughts and feelings in two thousand years. In the eyes of Chinese people, Confucius and The Analects is always authoritative and sacred. However, The Analects, a book being read was used for providing nutrition to people's spirit, the degree of its being misread was constantly refreshed at the same time. As the CCTV "Lecture Room" launched Yu Dan's book Experience of The Analects in 2006, her social impacts is very large, and its negative public consensus is also prevalent at the same time. Studying of its origins, it's just a misreading of classical publication. In 2007,the CCTV introduced another new work on Yu Dan's Comprehension of The Analects. There were some mistakes in this book which were the same as the first book. Therefore, this paper analyzes the issues in this book, corrects a variety of shortcomings and mistakes, so that the ancient cultural knowledge implied in Confucianism and The Analects can be spreaded accurately. In this paper, I first recorded the original of The Analects, then it was translations by Yu Dan, finally it was my interpretations.The whole paper consists of three parts:The first part is the introduction. It first introduces shortcomings of this book, as well as its impact on the public, then reviews the purpose of writing this article.In the second part, I analyzes the problems in this book concretely. I introduces errors in annotations and other ancient cultural knowledge systematically.The third part is the conclusion, which summarizes errors in this book, analyzes the causes of their errors. By correcting errors in this book, it can let people clearly know about The Analects.
