The New HSK, since its launch in 2009 by the warm welcome both domest and abroad,and played a good role in promoting Chinese internationalization. The new HSK(level 6) in the new HSK level is the highest, the most difficult level. The level test including listening,reading, and writing. The first part of reading is the test of erroneous sentence. The form of the test of erroneous sentence is 10 objective selections, one of the options is erroneous sentence. It examines Chinese learners’ mastery of grammar, vocabulary, etc. Its topic quantity is not too much, because of its wide-ranging examination content, become the difficulty level to participants in the examination. In order to improve the examination and Chinese communication skills of overseas students in northwest normal university, the author researched the test of erroneous sentence in 2010 edition, 2012 edition and 2014 edition of the new HSK(level 6), investigated the overseas students of the northwest normal university and analyzed the characteristics of this test. And provide teaching advice for Chinese language teachers.This paper consists of five parts. The first part is the introduction, the author expatiated the purpose, meaning, the object of research, the methods of research and the related research literature review in this part. In the second part, the author expatiated the characteristics of the the new HSK(level 6) and the test of erroneous sentence. In the third part, the author analyzed the test of erroneous sentence and investigated the overseas students of the northwest normal university. And the author concluded that the syntax check as the key point,regular examination, composition of semantic unworthy sentence mix, one in the face of two sides, the lexical resolution are the difficulties for the overseas students in northwest normal university. In the fourth part, the author analyzed the causes of erroneous sentence. The fifth part is teaching advice of the erroneous sentence, teaching Suggestions are put forward for Chinese teachers, for students learning Suggestions were put forward.
