The sense of security is people's subjective feelings of their living environment; its absence tends to affect students'psychological health, and even leads to mental illness. The main purpose of this study is to explain the relationship of security and life events among junior school students by investigating the status of security and the life events they encountered, to explain the effects of life events to students'security, and on this basis, propose educational strategies to improve the level of their security.This research uses literature analysis, questionnaires, interviews comprehensivel-y, chooses 439 junior school students from four country schools in Jiangsu Province as the subject, through the survey method, the paper shows the status of security and the life events they encountered; explores the age characteristics, sex characteristics, school characteristics of the development of security. On this basis, this study explores the relationship of security and life events; and through the interviews of some students and teachers, the paper analyzes the reasons why exists differences in security and in life events.Through the analysis of the finding, the study concludes:First, the whole level of students'security is very high; most students think that their environment is safe and reliable. Specifically, the junior two students are more security than junior one and junior three; boys are more security than girls; public school students are more security than private school students. But there are no significant differences of security in the grade, gender, and school type. Second, the test fails and the burden of learning are the events which students are encountered most frequently and giving them greatest influence on their psychology. Specifically, the learning pressure of junior three is heavier than junior one and junior two; "be disappointed in love" and "be beaten" impact boys more seriously than girls; the learning pressure, the level of punishment and the health and adjustment problems of students in private schools are more serious than students in public schools, and there are significant differences. Third, there is a significant relationship of security and life events among junior school students, the more life events students encountered and the more strength of life events, the lower of their security is. However only "be disappointed in love"," be beaten", learning pressure, health and adjustment problems can have a major impact on the security of students. Fourth, the security of different groups is affected by different life events, and the impact is different.Finally, this paper presents some specific, feasible strategies to promote the level of security of junior school students on the basis of the findings of this study. First, teachers should pay more attention to junior school students'study issues and life issues, know the major life events they are facing. Second, cultivate and enhance students'ability to cope with life events. Third, enrich and improve junior school students'social support system.
