The Xiu Nei Si official ware porcelain of the South Song Dynasty, which took the sacrificial vessels used in the official sacrificial rituals as its principal thing, is a critical part of the South Song Dynasty porcelain. It bears and represents the Confucian ethical code culture of the South Song Dynasty, reflexes the characteristics of the political culture of that age. This essay explores the culture value and aesthetical connotation of the Xiu Nei Si official ware porcelain of the South Song Dynasty from varies perspectives, including history, workmanship and its practical significance, and illustrates intensively the connection between the official ware porcelain and the Confucian ethical code culture of the South Song Dynasty.
