Study On The Bronze Vessels Unearthed From The Sacrificial Pits In Sanxingdui

Sanxingdui sacrificial pit has been widely concerned since it was discovered and published.Scholars at home and abroad have reported a great deal of enthusiasm for the various artifacts unearthed here as well as the relative problems of the sacrificial pits themselves.They have made a careful study and obtained numerous research results.However,due to various reasons,including the lack of clear historical records,geographical location is more remote,there are many kinds of unearthed artifacts,and there are many types of artifacts that never appeared,there are many differences in the research.These differences mainly focus on the age,nature and use of the sacrificial pits in Sanxingdui.The research object of this paper is the bronze vessel unearthed from the sacrificial pit in Sanxingdui.The main research content is to summarize the characteristics of each identifiable bronze vessel by detailed description.Then compared with the similar artifacts unearthed in the same period in the Yinxu area of the Central Plains and in the southern part of the city and yang,the paper analyzes the relationship and difference between these artifacts,and draws the conclusion that most bronze containers unearthed in Sanxingdui belong to the early and middle period of Yin ruins.In addition,the shapes and ornaments of most of these vessels are similar to those of bronze vessels unearthed in the southern part of the Central Plains and the Yin ruins,and some of them are very similar to those of bronze containers unearthed in the southern part of the city and the ocean,and even the alloy composition bases of the artifacts are made.The result shows that the bronze vessels unearthed in the sacrificial pits of Sanxingdui must be related to the copper containers in these two areas.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part introduces the current research status and problems needing attention of the unearthed vessels of the sacrificial pits in Sanxingdui.The second part briefly describes thepreservation of the bronze vessels unearthed in the two sacrificial pits;the third part is also the focus of this paper.By typology,the shape of each unearthed bronze vessel is introduced in detail according to the type of vessel,which is compared with the bronze vessel unearthed in the Yin ruins of the Central Plains and the southern Chengyang area in the same period.The age and cultural attributes of the bronze vessels of the sacrificial pits in Sanxingdui are analyzed.
