This paper is an integrative research about the type, stage, kiln and background of flow of the porcelain unearthed in Tianjin area.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the preface, describe the spatial and temporal scope, writing significance and description item of this paper.The second part is the first chapter, describe the discovery and research overview of porcelain unearthed in Tianjin area. It's divided into two stages, the first stage, from the 20th century 50s to 70s, and the second stage, from the 20th century 80s to now, summarize the main findings and research results of the two stages, and to be briefly reviewed. It's summaried to the list of the published materials and museum artifacts in chronological.The third part is the second chapter, to age as the warp and to type as the weft, detail the various periods porcelains unearthed in Tianjin area. In terms of the shape and function, the mostly unearthed porcelains are bowls, plates, jars, pots and other useful devices, and later began to emerge with the objects which has religious and furnished nature. In terms of the glaze, the green glazed porcelains and white glazed porcelains were dominated in a very long time, and the overglazed enamel porcelains and Jun glazed porcelains began to appear in Jin Dynasty, and the blue-and-white porcelains occurred in Yuan Dynasty. In terms of the technique of decoration, it's more prevalent of stamped decoration, incised decoration, underglaze relief decoration and cut decoration.The fourth part is the third chapter, inspect the stage, kiln and background of flow at different times. The unearthed porcelains are divided into three periods-Han and Jin Dynasties, Sui and Tang Dynasties and the Song, Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties, in which the Sui and Tang Dynasties are divided into Sui-early Tang Dynasties and mid-late Tang Dynasty, and the Song, Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties are divided into early Liao Dynasty, mid Liao Dynasty (early-mid Northern Song Dynasty), late Liao (mid-late Northern Song)-early Jin Dynasties, mid-late Jin-early Yuan Dynasties and mid-late Yuan Dynasty.The kilns were more in the north such as An'yang kiln, Xing kiln, Ding kiln, Cizhou kiln, Longquanwu kiln and Jun kiln, etc. In Jin and Yuan Dynasties, there were also many products of Longquan kiln and Jingdezhen kiln in the south. With the rise of the northern porcelain and the development of canal function increasingly prominent, the characteristic of unearthed porcelains was showed the geographic distribution more and more of the two sides along the canal.The fifth part is the conclusion, summarize the contents of this paper, and explain the limitations.
