A Preliminary Study On The Unearthed Porcelain Plate In The Workshop No.4 Of Jin Dynasty In Hejin Guzhen Porcelain Kiln Site

Shanxi region is one of the important porcelain making areas in northern China.During the reign of the Jin Dynasty,the development of porcelain making industry inherited the prosperity of the Song Dynasty.As one of the important porcelain kiln sites in the south of Jin,Hejin kiln has a long history of porcelain making,the Tang Dynasty had made porcelain,and the Song and Jin dynasties were its heyday.But the academic circles always know little about the distribution of Hejin kiln and the appearance of porcelain making.With the rescue excavation of Hejin Guzhen kiln site by Shanxi Institute of Archaeology and Hejin Municipal Bureau of Cultural relics in 2016,it provides important materials for studying the porcelain making process and firing process of Hejin kiln in Song and Jin dynasties.This paper Through the preliminary arrangement of the porcelain plates unearthed in the workshop No.4 of Hejin Guzhen,The research is carried out from three aspects: type analysis,process characteristics and comparison of other kiln sites,In order to understand the whole Guzhen porcelain kiln site gold substitute porcelain technology and other kiln sites similar porcelain plate production technology comparative study to provide reliable basic materials.The article is divided into four chapters.The first Chapter is the Introduction and the Chapter mainly introduces the site of porcelain kiln,the workshop No.4 and the unearthed situation of porcelain plate in Guzhen,reviewed the research status of Jin Dynasty ceramics,the ceramics of Song and Jin dynasties in Shanxi area and porcelain plates unearthed from Hejin Guzhen kiln,and expounds the purpose and significance of this paper.The Chapter Two and Chapter Three are the main parts of this paper.First of all,the types of porcelain plates are divided by archaeological typology,and it is concluded that the porcelain plates are mainly coarse white porcelain,which can be divided into two types: arc plate and waisted plate.Secondly,through the statistical analysis of the size data of the porcelain plate,the production mode of the porcelain plate of the workshop No.4 of Guzhen kiln is further discussed.Thirdly,according to the characteristics of porcelain plates observed by the author in the process of finishing in the aspects of tire glaze,engobe,decoration,installation and burning,To study the porcelain-making process and firing process of porcelain plates in the workshop No.4 of Guzhen porcelain kiln site,concluded that the porcelain plates are formed by wheel-made Farah billet,and the application of engobe and glaze water is made by immersion glaze method.The floral design over a white ground is The most popular decorative technique in guzhen porcelain kiln site.Firing process is divided into acerbity ring stack burning and ring foot clay nail overlay burning two,the main former.Finally,by comparing the porcelain plates unearthed from Guzhen Kilnworkshop No.4 with those unearthed from other kiln sites in the aspects of shape,decoration techniques and firing techniques,the relationship between the porcelain plates unearthed in each kiln industry is discussed.
