From the middle of the 19th century, The Chinese nation has been experiencing hardships constantly, it faced the crisis about national survival, politics of Qing dynasty and Confucius Culture which has been attacked by the western learning strongly. Under such a times background which full of turbulence and transform, many Intellectuals awake, they began to think about the whole society and look for the way to save the nation from peril. The trend of thought also pushed the transform in literature. The most important theory is"Revolutionary of novel" by Liang Qichao. It focused on changing mass treatment, the ways of the world and inspiring the people awareness. It linked novels with political theme together closely, which made the the popular literary style obtain the new development. So a group of new condemn novels turned up. The four most influential condemn novels turned out strong enlightenment meaning. By reflected the darkness of officialdom, they criticized political corruption, current malpractice and rested their dreams of revolution.The article mainly discuss the four condemn novels, it made a the comprehensive research about the background, artistic value, position in literary history, official image and the impact on modern bureaucracy novels. The emphasis is to link the text with the social and histoty background of the late Qing dynasty, then to make a deep analysis of the text and dig the value of the official image.In this text we have summarized and classified the official images in the four late Qing condemned novels. Officials appearing in the four condemned novels can be divided into 11 categories. Someone raised money by selling official titles; someone feathered their own nest; some were pleasure-seeking person; someone always talked without thinking; some were opportunists and; someone were xenocentric; someone were inhumanity; some were false for the people; some courted fame and reputation; someone were jobbery; and some were illiterate. Through ridiculing these officials, novels showed us vast ugly phenomenon in the later period of Feudal Society. At the same time, these condemned novel writers with sense of social-responsibility attempted to inspire wisdom and improve society in this way. In the four condemned novels, "guan chang xian xing ji"and"er shi nian mu du zhi guai xian zhuang"had revealed official lives in the round; and exposed the gloomy side of politics corruption and ugly performance of officials. These two novels were written with a very clear theme and a relatively wide view. The emphasis of "nie hai hua" is different from "lao can you ji", though these two novels are both officialdom novels. "nie hai hua" placed emphasis on criticizing the bane of eight-legged essay and drawbacks of The Old Examination System. Officials selected in this way almost memoried Confucian classics by rote, and studied skills of eight-legged essay intently. They were unconcerned of the national's wealth and people's welfare. To negative the official who were selected by the old examination system means negative the value the feudal official circles. Laocanyouji focused on expressing the author's ethics on feudal official circles criticizing their brutality and opening the veils of honest and upright official.The article mainly demonstration several problems:classification of official image in the condemn novels in the late Qing dynasty, the inheritance and revolutionary about Literary Tradition., the literature meaning, the position and value assessment of the official image. The four condemn novels added a group of image which were kidding and hateful to literature history. But they also recorded the officialdom statement at the last moment of Feudal dynasty, and had precious revolutionary consciousness and bright modern thinking. All the problems are of great value in history.
