Cultural popularization is the inevitable tendency of the world's cultural development. Cultural popularization means that culture have become popularization, and no longer belonged to a minority of intellectuals. It also means the process of full integration into social life. There is not only a reasonable side, but also negative impacts in the proess of cultural popularization.This paper firstly defines the concept of cultural popularization based on the distinction between " cultural popularization " and " Literary Popularization ","popular culture", and points out that cultural popularization is a trend with the development of the establishment of market economy, the formation of consumer society and the development of mass media, and think that moral rationality of cultural popularization has three areas:(1)Cultural popularization has shaken the moral rationality of cultural hierarchy; (2)Cultural popularization premised on the establishment of a market economic system;(3)Cultural popularization should regard the spirit of popular culture as the target.This paper also emphasizes that there are many negative effects, included human alienation, the overflow of values of consumerism and the expansion of vulgar culture. In the end,This paper further discusses the problem of how to carry out the value-oriented of cultural popularization, and emphasizes the healthy development of cultural popularization is inseparable from moral rules and legal statutes guide.There is theoretical and practical value about the ethical review and research of cultural popularization. Our conclusion is conducive to deepening the awareness and understanding about trends or phenomena of cultural popularization, also conducive to promoting the healthy development of cultural popularization.
