In decade of the new century, there have been three generations of Chinese Film Directors coexisting. Three generations of film have their our respective characteristics which in particular embody in the making of the new historical narrative films. This paper tries to use New Historicism theory to analyze the history of movies in the new century decade (2000-2009).The creation of the Fifth Generation films are based on the rise of literary trends in 1980s and start from separation of religion from politics.Directors use the way of historical allegory to show "Chinese History/History of China" and in the context of the globalization trend (history) large tracts of great narrative. Fifth Generation point to a strategically advantageous position in the ideological pursuit of the strategy function, but the writing practice ignores the skills in story descrbing and therefore moves towards formalism of "castles in the air." The Sixth Generation directors insist on the bottom edge, they dig deep in the bottom group with their primitive living conditions, thus the films focus on People's consciousness and the little people. In the view of history,these directors consciously engaged in post-modern interpretation of historical text and video text. Singular Narrative historiography is no longer the main stream. It trends to be the transformation from "underground" to "floats surface" in the narrative stage. The new generation with a new perspective expresses the obscured and suppressed history. It tries to achieve both the goals of film's artistic and commercial profit, consequently the video is even more liberalized,subjectivated, pluralistic and daily esthetic.This paper attempts to study the new century movies of multiple symbiotic in perspective of New Historicism. Aiming at the narrative pattern of the three generations of Directors and Works to peep on the cultural level.Forming the dialogue and conections of the three generations in the stylized directors and works,accordingly to grasp the value of theoretical criticism wholely, wich of the historical films in China since the new century.
