The Space-time Idiosyncrasies Of Military Novel Since The "New Era"

The discussion of the Military Literature has always been an integral part of Chinese modern and contemporary literature. So far, many scholars have explained the contemporary military novel from different perspectives. In this article, taking military novels in short and medium size since the "New Era" as the main objects of study, on the basis of "daily life" theory, I display the difference of space-time features in military novels in the new period and in the past. I put emphasis on its connotation, and eventually summarize its value orientation:the army-man's home complex and their complex in battlefield are getting balanced in mutual constraints.The article is divided into three parts. The first part discusses the changes of existence context of short-and-medium-sized military novels in the new period. Then based on the analysis of context changes, the article goes into the second part in which I will discuss the space-time idiosyncrasies in new-period military novels. This section will focus on three key words and their meanings related to the space-time characteristics of military novels in new period. The third part will explain the value orientation of short-and-medium-sized military novels in new era in this space-time structure.
